What is Amma Vodi scheme?
Amma Vodi is a state government scheme of Andhra Pradesh started to financially aid the mothers/guardians of school-going children from Class 1 to 12. Here, mothers or guardians receive Rs. 15,000 yearly directly into their bank accounts. The scheme was launched on 9 January 2020 by Chief Minister Shri YSR Jagan Mohan Reddy. Objective
The rising number of dropouts has necessitated the chief minister of Andhra Pradesh to develop a scheme namely “Amma Vodi”. The financially struggling recipients (mothers) will get 15,000 annually directly in their bank accounts.

Eligibility Criteria
- The beneficiary has to be a mother/guardian of a student studying between Class 1 and 12
- They need to be a permanent resident of Andhra Pradesh only
- They have to be enrolled in the Andhra Pradesh state government schools or those schools which the government approves
- No member of the family has to be in government service
- The applicant should be living below the poverty line (not more than 10,000 in rural areas while 12,000 in urban areas)
- The child should be regularly going to schools with attendance not less than 75%
- White Ration card – The intended beneficiaries need to have a white ration card, as this authenticates that the target person is in the ‘already included’ economically weaker population eligible for Amma Vodi benefits
- PAN card – The intended beneficiaries need to have the PAN card ready while registering for the same.

How to check Amma Vodi Payment Status?
To check Amma Vodi payment status, you need to follow the below steps:
- Visit the official website https://gsws-nbm.ap.gov.in/
- Select the Application status from the top menu
- You will instantly get to a page that says “NBM Application status.”
- Or You can directly visit it – Here
- You will enter the screen which shows the scheme, year, and UID black space.
- Go to the scheme, and through the drop-down menu, select “Amma Vodi.”

- Select the year and enter the Aadhar number.
- Please enter the captcha code that you can easily see next to it.
- You will receive OTP on your registered number once you tap on ‘Get OTP’. Now, it is time for you to enter the OTP
- Finally, upon successful confirmation, you will know the Amma Vodi payment status information in one of the tabs
